AMBUSHED. New York police caught in a tangle from Bajans Wukking Up during the annual Labour Day celebrations yesterday on Monday September 04th 2007.

Hours After Three Bajans won four of the International Soca Awards in New York, thousands more were jamming down Eastern Parkto their music during the annual Labour Day celebrations yesterday. The 2006 International Groovy Soca Monarch winner Biggie Irie won Soca Artiste of the Year and Best Groovy Soca, while 2006 Party Monarch and road march winner Barry Chandler took the award for Best New Soca Artiste, and Peter Ram won Best Soca Collaboration, with Shurwayne Winchester.

On the road, thousands followed two trucks representing Barbados, one organized by Barbados Nation Cultural Foundation.(NCF) and the Bajan America Domino Leageue.
